MEET ROY CASTILLO
Roy was born in 1961 in Houston and moved to Pearland in 1976. He attended Pearland High School where he met his wife Virginia Todd, daughter of Bill Todd, Justice of the Peace (Ret.) and graduated in 1980. Roy began working as a Lot Porter at Ron Carter Chevrolet in 1980 and by 1990 had worked his way up to Operations Manager. In 1992 he began his law enforcement career with the Pearland Police Department working as a Jailer. Upon completing his Associates Degree at Alvin Community College, Roy then earned a Bachelor's Degree in American Jurisprudence from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
In 1993 Roy was selected to work as a Pearland Police Officer and did dutifully serve the citizens of Pearland for over two decades.
In 2018 Roy was elected to serve the citizens of Brazoria County as Justice of the Peace Precinct 3, Place 2.

RECOGNITION & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
During Roy's career he has received numerous awards including Officer of the Year and Supervisor of the Year. He recently received the inaugural Above & Beyond Award from the 100 Club of Pearland. He has also taught numerous Citizens Police Academy classes and regularly attends their graduation ceremonies. He is a member of the Pearland Lion's Club, Knights of Columbus, Directors Club of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Bottomless Pit Cook-Off team, Pearland-Alvin Go Texan Committee, Pearland Neighborhood Center, Keep Pearland Beautiful and both the Pearland and Alvin/Manvel Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers his time to numerous local charities.
